A place of hope, safety, and care.

Abide Greenville is a collective of licensed therapists offering evidence based, attachment aware counseling for children and their families.

We invite you into a place designed with you and your family in mind.

Your child’s needs, big behaviors, overwhelming emotions and anxieties are all welcome here. You’ve tried everything you can think of, asked friends and family for help, or done your best to keep these difficulties tucked away from unsafe eyes.

This is a space where you belong, your child’s needs, your parenting confusion, or your individual journey are seen and understood.

We can help.

 FAQs

  • Therapy is a very individualized, personal tool used for development, growth, and healing. Because of the nature of the counseling relationship, it is important that you work with a qualified individual with whom you experience a level of trust and comfort. Please feel free to visit our counselor page to review the biographic information related to the counselors in our group.

  • Typically, counseling sessions are scheduled for a 50 minute time period 1-4 times per month. Because each situation is different, it is important that you work with your individual therapist to develop a plan that feels comfortable and beneficial to you.

  • Some of our therapists are in network with BlueCross Blue Shield. Fees incurred when accessing insurance benefits vary greatly and are dependent on fees dictated by the specific policy. Contact your insurance provider and request information on your outpatient mental health benefits and be sure to inquire as to the benefit for in-network and out-of network (sometimes out of network benefits are nearly as good as in-network and this would allow you to work with any therapist that you choose). Individuals not accessing insurance benefits will generally experience a per session fee of $120. The initial session is typically $140. Payment is expected at the time of service.

  • We understand that healthcare expenses can be difficult.  We have started a not for profit agency, City Center Counseling ministries, in an attempt to further care for the community.  This is a separate counseling center that is run by Licensed Professional Counseling Interns and supervised by our therapists here at Greenville Counseling Associates.  Sessions are at a reduced fee and a sliding scale is available if needed.  Visit City Center Counseling Ministries.

  • If you have already chosen a therapist, please contact them directly by dialing 1+ (864) 405-3056 and choosing their extension. You can also email office@abidegreenville.com. If you do not already have a counselor, you may leave a message in our general mailbox (which is completely confidential) and one of our licensed therapists will contact you.

  • Counseling sessions need to be cancelled 24 hours in advance in order to avoid being charged for the session. Please contact your therapist via telephone if you need to cancel a previously scheduled appointment.
