Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who is passionate about utilizing the lens of attachment to work with children and families, parents, and individuals. She sees herself as a partner in your journey towards growing, healing, and learning new approaches to life’s difficulties. In addition to counseling, she oversees the big picture as a partner and Clinical Director of Abide. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Counseling from Clemson University.
Kelly enjoys working with women struggling with anxiety and relationships, as well as parents navigating children’s needs, and adoptive families. An adoptive parent herself, Kelly’s desire is to see families and the children of adoption succeed and thrive. She recognizes the need for support and counseling at times during the foster and/or adoption steps including grieving infertility, coping with ambiguity in the legal process, attachment difficulties, addressing changes in family structure, and helping older children process their identity in light of adoption.
Kelly has worked in various clinical settings including intensive in-home child focused family therapy, outpatient treatment of women and children, school based counseling and spent time counseling in an intensive outpatient addictions program. Kelly is a TBRI practitioner and her specialties include: relationship and life adjustment issues, anxiety, behavior and emotional challenges in children, infertility, adoption and fostering, adolescence, women, and families. Kelly, her husband John, and their two daughters have called Greenville home for over 17 years. Kelly enjoys spending time in the company of friends and family, dreaming up her next decorating project, traveling and exploring new places. Kelly and her family regularly worship at Grace Church.
